Just a heads up for anyone that is planning a coast trip to Oregon for agates. We haven't had any good storms in over a year. We go over to the coast lots. If it were me I wouldn't plan an agate trip to the coast until we have had some good storms come in from the Pacific. That's a little more than 2 cents worth. Happy hounding.

Well, just when ya think stuff can't happen in your community, along comes some nut bag and shoots up a school. I'm sure most of you have heard of the shooting in Roseburg, Or. For us it's just down the road. What the hell is wrong with our young people these days? Sure makes one want to move farther out in the woods. I guess all we can do is protect your loved ones yourself. Rant over...... ::)

Sal, here is a few shots of the agate I lost. Your tag said it's Hampton Butte agate. It's really nice agate. This is the first piece. The next one is smaller and really red. Looks almost like flame agate.

Has anyone worked with Bumble Bee Jasper? It is soft from what I've heard. Does it need to be stabilized? Any info would be great.

Guess what is going on in our back yard? Early Spring. We have about 21 assorted young hens and toms plus 3 big Toms that hang around. They are all named out to 2025.  ::)

This is a limb cast. It's really nice looking.

this is a really nice agate piece that looks a lot like Montana agate. But it's not.

Here is one for everybody. Does anybody have an idea why some minerals and rocks are getting so high in price? Are the Chinese the driving factor? ::) I don't have a clue. I see the prices of some stuff just going out of the roof. Anyway, chime in.
