Oregon Flooding
« on: January 18, 2011, 02:40:08 PM »
Wow this summer should be a killer year for rockhounding as a lot has changed in the sate as a result of this last storm system.  Christmas valley has a ton of water in the lakes which normally do not, I am sure its like that in Prineville area.  Also lots of creeks have changed course as a result of the flooding, should be really good.  Gonna be the best since the 96 flood I think.

Nah it never usually does, the water is already gone down significantly.  So I think that you will be ok with it being a nice summer/fall.

Uh......thanks Bob.  The only thing a flood is gonna do here in the valley is wash out crops.  There's nothing to hunt down here - but birds.
