Polishing with leather and cerium
« on: July 07, 2017, 06:57:45 PM »
Hello everybody. I've recently purchased a bull wheel for sanding/polishing cut specimens, I'm having a little trouble with polishing on the leather wheel with cerium oxide. I start by getting the leather damp then adding a spray or two of cerium mixture from the spray bottle. I'm not getting the "pull" on the stone like I should and seems to take quite a while to polish the stone. If anybody has any pointers or willing to share their polishing process it would be much appreciated! thanks in advance.

You start getting the pull when it starts drying out. It pulls really hard when it gets dry so you are looking for the happy medium.
