Quartzsite, Arizona
« on: November 09, 2017, 12:00:23 PM »
So, I was wondering if anyone is headed to Quartzsite this winter.  I am planning to be there the week of the Pow Wow and would love to meet some of you who are planning to be there too.

Thanks for starting a new topic of discussion :)

I won't be in AZ, but I'd love to hear all about it.

If you are going to be there for the pow wow then make sure you stop by my booth on Saturday the 20th for our annual BBQ and potluck. We are Desert Gardens spots AB22 which is the east end of the front row.
Everyone is invited!
Hope to see you there!

Tony

Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the BBQ since we will be heading back to Utah on the 20th. We are driving to Quartzsite on the 13th and driving back on the 20th. I will definitely stop by your booth sometime during the week to meet you. I am excited to explore the Desert Garden booths more this year. Last year I only had a couple of hours there and it was raining.  My mother-in-law also told me there was a whole area of town I missed. I spent a lot of time in Prospectors Panorama.  This year I am also hoping to get to going riding on the Razor with my husband. Last time I was injured and missed all of the trails.

Lizziebird - I had a wonderful time in Quartzsite. The weather was warm and sunny. My husband's parents have a home there and it was great to visit them. I went Razor riding in the desert with my husband, daughter and in-laws a couple of times. The scenery is beautiful!  I did not get to go rock hounding but spent many days in Propectors Panarama. It is my favorite place to shop. I also visited the Desert Gardens and met IRockHound, Catmandewe and his wife.  We went to the Pow Wow a couple of times. I saw lots of cool things. I love the Madagascar Import SEAM booth and purchased a beautiful black septarian egg from them. Even with all of the wonderful rocks, my favorite thing was spending time with my family. My married daughter and her husband even joined us this year.  She had so much fun in the rock shops and he had fun in the Razor. My other daughter went riding every morning and then to the rock shops with me in the afternoon. It was great. I can't wait to go again next year. Ifbi ever figure out how to post pics, I will post a few I took. I follow the Quartzsite Happenings page on Facebook. They post lots of photos.
